Oral Presentation Project Requirements

Options:
Chapter material from the textbook: Cover basic topics and lead discussion of concepts and applications. Students will explain information and answer questions with almost no help from the instructor.

Journal article summary: Select a topic appropriate to the course content. Introduce the topic, explain what was done in the research, what was the outcome, and how it could apply to a "real life" management/organizational situation.

Grading Procedure

20% Outline - due at least one class before presentation, covers all relevant material, reasonable detail. (Note: Bonus of 5% For Early Turn-In!)
40% Presentation - information presented in your own words, not read from the book or notes, clear and understandable.
20% Discussion - class participation is stimulated by presenter, questions are answered comfortably for everyone involved.
20% Outside Source - provide information from one outside source, with information included in your outline. (Credit will only be given if the source reference is included with the outline provided to the instructor.)


Behavior Management Project Information
  1. Identify the behavior "targeted" for change and talk with instructor for approval.
  2. Observe and record the behavior for two or three weeks, then do a graph of the baseline.
  3. Discuss methods for changing the target behavior with the instructor and come to agreement on method.
  4. Implement behavior change methods. Monitor the target behavior and observe change. Consult with instructor regarding problems, fine tuning. Maintain a graph of target behavior.
  5. Report to the class on the behavior change project. Summarize and present a graph showing the frequency of the behavior during the project.
